This is a G rated Story

"Jessie, Jessie, you got to read this! It’s my first article submission for the Blabber.”
"Already, Screech?" Jessie asked; a little amazed at the speed in which he prepared his article. Screech handed the paper to Jessie, and she began to read it out loud for the whole gang to hear.

Life at Bayside
When the students arrive at school, there is a hum of chattering voices as everyone crowds through the doors of the main entrance. The incessant clamor continues as they make their way first to their lockers and then on to their homeroom classes. If the doors are unlocked the boys put their books on their desks. If not, they pile them on the floor in the hall alongside the wall of their classroom. In either case, the girls carry their schoolbags around with them. Occasionally, there are students that take their books to the library to study and/or talk until the bell rings. Some people, mostly girls, go to the restrooms to touch up whatever devastation might have happened to them as they made their trip in to school.

Our ‘favorite’ school radio station, KKTY, can be heard playing its welcome over the intercom throughout the school. It is thoroughly ignored except for those who can’t help but to utter in disgust, "I wish they would stop blasting that stupid song. I cannot hear what you are saying to me." Rarely, it will elicit an ecstatic scream from someone saying," All of you, SHUT UP, I love this song!"
When the bell rings, the students rush in to their homeroom classes. They go to their desks sit down, get their things in order and class takes place (a sad, but unavoidable part of life).

The time between periods passes in pretty much the same way. Three minutes before the bell rings, most people put away their books. The girls brush their hair and reapply their lipstick. The bell rings and everyone scrambles for the door. They try to make the most out of their four minutes between classes. The last period, for all practical purposes, follows in much the same way as the pre-homeroom time, except for its being in reverse order, and that no one stays to hang with their friends for fear that they might miss their bus. When the last bell of the day rings, there is a mad rush for the door as the students come spilling out of the building as if it were on fire. Most of them go home, but some others go to work or hop over to the Max for a burger. There are a few kids that stay in school after it ends for extracurricular activities or even worse, because they have detention, but when these are done, they too rush home as fast as they can. The funny thing about it all is that if you ask most of the students how they feel about Bayside, they will tell you about the undying love they have for their school. I guess sometimes, people flee from the things that they love as if the things that they love were infested with fleas.

After finishing the article, Jessie said, "Screech, this article is really cute, you’ve got talent."
"Thanks Jessie," Screech answered, “Does this mean I can get it published in the school paper?"
"You bet! As a matter of fact I think it’s so good that I think I’m even going to stick it on the first page, just below the fold."
“Isn’t it good enough to place it above the fold?" Screech asked.
"Well maybe Screech, but I’ve already designated an article for that spot,” Jessie replied hesitatingly. “To be honest that’s where my article is going," she added sheepishly.
"If you want my opinion Screech, your article is cute enough, but where is the dirt, the gossip, the news? We already know what happens at Bayside, but I think a more interesting article would be about what goes on beyond the obvious. What will your next article be: The Sun Rises in the East and Sets in the West?" Lisa advised chidingly.
Jessie argued, "Lisa, be that as it may, it was really good. I liked it. It’s something all the students could relate to.”
"True," Lisa acknowledged.

Jessie told her friends that she would be missing a few days of school later on next week, because she was going to visit her aunt in Boston. While she’d be there, she might visit some University campuses. She told Screech that while she’d be gone, she would hand over the reins of power of the Bayside Blab to him.

Jessie said, "Screech, I really have confidence in you. I think you will do a great job as editor while I am gone."
"Thanks Jessie," Screech replied beaming with satisfaction.
"Speaking about news and gossip," Kelly chimed in, "Let’s find about Lisa’s dreamboat, what’s his name?"
Screech blurted out with a hurt, worried look on his face, "Hey, I thought I was Lisa’s dreamboat!"
"Screech, the only boat that comes to mind where you are concerned is the Titanic," Lisa snapped back. "I guess, I should tell you guys about him. His name is Gary Monplaisir. I pretty much told you girls about him already, but as for the rest of you, here’s the load down. He is handsome, tall, muscular, sweet, smart, and he goes to North Western LA University. As for anything else about him, I’ll keep you posted.”
