This is a G rated Story
When school was over, Lisa raced back home as fast as she could; she wanted to be there in case Gary called. Luckily he was true to his word, and he called her almost as soon she made it in the door.Lisa was determined to try her best to sound relaxed and half forgetful about the fact that he promised her that he would call. By no means did she want to come across as overly eager.
"Hello," Lisa said as she answered the phone. She tried to subdue the anxiousness in her voice that was unavoidable until she would in fact receive a call from him.
"Hello, this is Gary. Good afternoon, may I please speak with Lisa?" came the joyful response from the other end of the phone.
"Oh, hi Gary. How are you? Has the hospital released you yet?" Lisa asked as casually as she could.
"Thankfully, they discharged me today, and none too early at that. I have to say all of the nurses can learn a thing or two from your bedside manner. They certainly can't fill your shoes," Lisa beamed at the compliment.
"Well, I hope it wasn't too bad nonetheless. Anyway, maybe I was such a good caregiver, because I took the time to know that I was dealing with such a good patient," Lisa artfully returned the compliment. "What did they say wasthe prognosis, if you don't mind my asking?"
"Not at all. Fortunately, I only suffered a mild concussion, and all is expected to be as good as new," Gary replied.
"That's great news!" Lisa replied jubilantly.
